It is an environmental haven that extends over 5800 hectares of protected area, encompassing the northern stretch of coast that stretches from Passetto to Trave and continues with the bay of Portonovo, then Monte Conero and the inland hills and it reaches up to the coast that runs from Sirolo to Marcelli di Numana coming to an end along the Musone river valley.

Enclosed like a precious jewel, there are also ancient testimonies of art, culture and history that the Parco del Conero shelters in its unspoilt surroundings. Thus, in order to bring these treasures to light, a map has been created of the excursion routes, which penetrate the woods and pine forests. Paths that snake their way between wild strawberry trees and broom bushes, shaded by evergreen oaks or pines, along the hills and cliffs. The surrounding landscape’s exceptional value is provided by the alternating sequence of rocky coast, woods, grassy glades, cultivated areas and little beaches. Thousands of plants grow here and make up the Mediterranean scrubs and many species of bird nest here too.

This magnificient and varied area offers many activities: sailing, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving on wreks and mug dives, horse riding, trekking. And finally, no to be missed is a visit to the wine cellars on the “Strada del Rosso Conero”, where you can buy top quality typical products such as oil, honey and wine. Some trails may be temporarily closed.
